DECEMBER highlights
Hello there! I hope your December has been filled with festive fun and you’re getting ready for some rest and relaxation over the next couple of weeks - I know I am.
Looking back on 2025, there have been plenty of highs, with a fair few lows. It’s been our busiest year yet and it’s safe to say Indian pizza is finally on the map. There have also been many, many breakdowns - cars, equipment, emotional… yup, been through a fair few this year, but we’re still here and we’re still leading the way for Indian pizza in London.
I’ve been in the kitchen so much this year, it’s been nice to have some fresh faces join me, including some wonderful moments collaborating with Sohini from Smoke & Lime and the sibling founders of Bunta Beer! The passion they have for food has inspired me to think big for our menu next year - watch this space.
The team have been great and I’m so grateful for them. When our manager Mia left earlier in the year, there were some pretty big shoes to fill, but thankfully we didn’t have to wait too long before we found Sara. It takes a certain kind of person to work at East West because for me, it’s not just serving food, but a kindness we need to show to our customers and the people around us - Sara fit in perfectly.

I asked Mirza for a Christmas special and he did not disappoint.
We’ve got a pizza with tandoori turkey, curried Brussels sprouts and a masala cranberry sauce.
Oh and a mulled wine cake that I’m obsessed with.
Giving Back
We are proud to be partnering with Kentish Town Foodbank this December. I love helping our local community. It took me a lot of adjusting to be able to charge people for food. I lose so much money in giving away free food, its unbelievable.
So, it gives me great pleasure to contribute some of our profits to people who need it the most. We look forward to continuing to work with the food bank in the future.

Finally the stars are aligned! We have never opened on New Year’s Eve and everyone keeps asking me to, so we’re going ahead with it this December.
